It made the battle more epic hear the people scream in delight as you blast your foe into oblivion.įinally, the characters themselves were far less vocal than they used to be. In the first game and Melee, the people would cheer and gasp all the time at the action. On top of this the audience watching you fight was far more quiet in Brawl. ![]() Attacks sounded more muffled and softer than before. They lacked the OOMPH that makes a blow to the face sound really painful. However I felt Brawl was severely lacking in the SFX department. They can make the simple action of hopping on a Goomba sound delightful with that "woobup" sound they make.Īnyway in Smash Bros sound is very important too. Very few people talk about this subject in video games but sound effects are very important.
